At Safety Biometrics we strongly believe that having a positive, proactive safety culture in the workplace can help maintain your employees' physical health while working on-site. Employees who feel comfortable addressing safety issues in their workplace will perform better, learn from dangerous situations and fix problems before causing harm to themselves and others.

Our Mission

At Safety Biometrics we strongly believe that every employee deserves to come back home safe and well to his loved ones. In order to achieve this goal, we look at the number one factor of accidents and potential loss of life, the human factor, and the ability to respond in time. 


We use clinical-grade biometrics to alert users of the onset of sleep and fatigue, as well as monitor for physical changes that can impact health and wellness.

Melissa Glossup

Chief Executive Officer

Melissa is the CEO and Co-Founder of Safety Biometrics an emerging revolutionary Wearable Safety Technology that is set to transform the Global Modern Workforce and enhance Industrial Safety. Through the years, Melissa has mastered and developed winning strategies to dominate the art of negotiation, build strategic partnerships, assemble dynamic teams, and mastermind products from concept to launch and market share. Melissa is a Certified Business Coach and Senior Partner at The Law of Taking Action. Melissa has successfully consulted over +400 multi-million-dollar companies on how to maximize their growth, reduce overhead, master relationships, and time management.

Tedi Zohar

Chief Innovation Officer

Tedi is the Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Safety Biometrics. His mission is to transform the modern workforce by using Connected Wearable Technology and Smart Data to enhance safety in the workplace and prevent fatigue-related accidents. His areas of interest are IoT, connected devices, Software Defined Networks, and the limitless possibilities of combining technology with human factors. Tedi is one of the first inventors to patent wearable detection for fatigue using Heart Rate detection, he owns 2 registered patents in fatigue monitoring and alert systems. Tedi studied Network Engineering, web development and design. 

Dave Ghilarducci 

Advisor / Hardware / Manufacturing

Dave holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois. Throughout his career, he worked on many technological milestones such as being one of the engineers who launched the first GPS satellite and was part of the team who developed the world's first SMART phone. After working in the engineering field for over twenty-five years, Dave founded Lucca Design Works with a key team of engineers he met along his professional career. LDW is an engineering consulting firm focused on hardware and mechanical design-concentrated on IoT and wireless connectivity.

Stuart R Fraenkel 

 Advisor / Legal

Mr. Fraenkel has spent over 20 years handling high profile, complex transportation legal matters. He speaks internationally on transportation law and is also an Adjunct Professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he teaches Aviation Law, Business Law and Risk Management. Mr. Fraenkel is AV Preeminent Rated by Martindale Hubbell and has been honored as a Best Lawyer in America, Southern California Super Lawyer and National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers in California.

Jaco van Rensburg 

Advisor / Finance

Jaco van Rensburg has over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and advanced analytics for privately owned, public and start-up companies. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant and brings a track record of establishing and growing the accounting and finance functions for start-ups and other fast-growing firms. Before joining Safety Biometrics, Jaco was a director of finance for Experian where he was accountable for all monthly and quarterly cost and capital-related reports for the Business Information Services business unit. 

Bob Novotney 

 Advisor / Fatigue Risk Management

Bob is a veteran and former B1B Pilot with the USAF. He possesses over 30 years of management and leadership experience in diverse environments. Over the last 20 years, Bob has managed and has specialized in Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Platform Instruction/Facilities/Training with a focus on Human Factors and Fatigue Risk Management. Bob has managed multiple programs and program budgets in the United States and Europe, one in excess of $70M per year. 

Shaun Botha

Advisor / Software Development /

Shaun's background is in solution design and development, with a strong focus on high-availability communications infrastructure and technologies. In 1999, He co-founded Twisted Pair Solutions - the developer of the "WAVE" software used for mission-critical VoIP communications systems for military, government, and large enterprise organizations around the world. Twisted Pair was acquired by Motorola Solutions in January 2014.

Before Motorola and TPS, Shaun spent more than a decade in the telecommunications industry as head of Research and Development for Williams Communications. Prior to that, Shaun co-developed the world's first software for reading smart cards.
